Celestial Sol Sessions:
Frequently Asked Questions
Celestial Sol Sessions are an original somatic and energetic restoration modality centered on the body, nervous system, and energetic field. Created and developed by Carissa Klundt, the work does not fit neatly inside one familiar category.
These answers explain what happens during a session, who the work is for, how virtual sessions work, and how Celestial Sol differs from other somatic, energetic, and therapeutic approaches.
What is a Celestial Sol Session?
A Celestial Sol Session is a one-on-one somatic and energetic restoration experience created by Carissa Klundt. It works with the body, nervous system, and energetic field through presence, sound, movement, breath, precise touch, stillness, and non-contact field-based work. Rather than following the same sequence with every person, Carissa tracks the responses of the body and field and works with what is present. Each session explores what the body may be holding, how it responds, and what becomes possible as safety, awareness, and capacity grow. The Six Stages of Restoration™ provide the developmental model underlying the work.
Celestial Sol Sessions are available in person in Henderson, Nevada, serving the greater Las Vegas area, and virtually worldwide.
What happens during a Celestial Sol Session?
During a Celestial Sol Session, Carissa follows the moment-to-moment responses of the body and energetic field rather than applying a predetermined sequence. An in-person session may include precise touch, sound, vibration, breath, movement, stillness, or non-contact field-based work. Virtual sessions take place live over Zoom and may include sound, guided awareness, breath, movement, stillness, and field-based work. Some sessions are quiet. Some are emotional. Some feel deeply physical. Others feel expansive. There is no particular response to perform or experience to manufacture. Across every session, Carissa’s role remains the same: create safety, create the conditions for release, and build the capacity to remain present with what emerges.
Who are Celestial Sol Sessions for?
Celestial Sol Sessions are for people who may understand their patterns intellectually but still experience tension, bracing, overwhelm, emotional weight, or disconnection in the body. Many clients are professionals, clinicians, caregivers, creatives, and people accustomed to carrying a great deal for others. The work may be especially relevant for people who have gained insight through therapy, personal development, recovery, or spiritual practice but recognize that understanding alone has not created the shift they are seeking. No previous experience with somatic or energetic work is required, and clients do not need to share a particular belief system. Curiosity, willingness, and the capacity to participate safely are the most important starting points.
Can Celestial Sol Sessions be done virtually?
Yes. Virtual Celestial Sol Sessions take place live over Zoom and are available worldwide. The work is not dependent on physical touch. During a virtual session, Carissa may use sound, guided attention, breath, movement, stillness, and non-contact field-based work while tracking how the client’s body and nervous system respond. Virtual sessions follow the same principles of creating safety, supporting release, and building capacity while adapting the experience to a remote setting. Clients should join from a private, quiet space where they can sit or lie down comfortably without being interrupted. Headphones may be used if they feel comfortable, but they are not required.
Is a Celestial Sol Session therapy?
No. Celestial Sol Sessions are not psychotherapy, counseling, or psychological treatment. Carissa does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
Psychotherapy can include conversational, cognitive, emotional, relational, and somatic approaches within a licensed clinical relationship. Celestial Sol is an experiential somatic and energetic support practice that attends to the body, nervous system, and energetic field through presence, sound, movement, touch, and field-based work.
Many clients explore Celestial Sol alongside physical therapy, psychotherapy, or other professional care. Some are already receiving support for physical concerns. Others have gained substantial insight into their emotional patterns but still notice tension, bracing, exhaustion, or protective responses in the body. Celestial Sol does not replace medical care, physical therapy, or psychotherapy, but it may complement the care and insight someone is already receiving.
How is Celestial Sol different from Spinal Energetics, Reiki, and Somatic Energy?
Celestial Sol Sessions share an interest in the body, nervous system, and energetic field with practices such as Spinal Energetics, Reiki, and Somatic Energy, but the approaches are not interchangeable. Carissa is trained in Spinal Energetics, is a Reiki Master, and is currently participating in Dr. John Amaral’s Somatic Energy Practitioner Training. These disciplines contribute to the breadth of her education, but Celestial Sol is not a renamed or combined delivery of those methods.
Celestial Sol Sessions are an original modality created and developed by Carissa Klundt. Rather than following one lineage, fixed sequence, set of hand positions, or specific spinal access points, Carissa tracks the body, nervous system, and energetic field as a connected whole. A session may weave together presence, sound, movement, breath, precise touch, stillness, and field-based work according to what is present.
The Six Stages of Restoration™ are the original developmental model underlying Celestial Sol Sessions and distinguish the longer arc of the work from a single technique or isolated experience.
How many Celestial Sol Sessions are recommended?
Many clients report significant change after just one Celestial Sol Session. A single session can offer meaningful release, clarity, awareness, or a noticeable shift in how someone feels in their body. For clients who want to explore what becomes possible with continuity, three sessions are the recommended starting series. A three-session Restoration Series allows the body to build familiarity with the work, reveal more information, and develop safety, trust, and capacity across time. A five-session series is available for clients who already know they want to enter a deeper process. Sessions are commonly spaced two to four weeks apart, although timing may vary according to the person and what is unfolding.
A series does not correspond to one session per stage or promise completion of all Six Stages of Restoration™ within a set number of appointments.
What are the Six Stages of Restoration™?
The Six Stages of Restoration™ are the original developmental model created by Carissa Klundt to describe the terrain people may move through during Celestial Sol Sessions. The framework emerged through years of study, observation, pattern recognition, and work with hundreds of clients.
The six stages are:
Safety: Can my body let go?
Trust: Can I stay open?
Recognition: Can I recognize what is moving me?
Capacity: Can I hold more without bracing?
Embodiment: Can I live this, not just experience it?
Emergence: What wants to move through me now?
The stages are not a diagnosis, rigid sequence, or promise that every person will progress in the same way. Someone may revisit earlier stages as new experiences arise, and one stage does not necessarily correspond to one session.
The model provides language for understanding what may be present, what the body may be asking for, and what becomes possible as safety, awareness, and capacity grow.
What might I notice after a Celestial Sol Session?
Clients often describe feeling lighter, calmer, clearer, more grounded, or more connected to themselves after a session. Some notice an immediate release or a distinct shift in the way their body feels. Others recognize subtler changes over the following days, such as responding differently to a familiar trigger, having more internal space, or feeling less braced in situations that previously felt overwhelming. It is also possible to feel tired, emotionally tender, quiet, or more aware of physical sensations as the experience settles. Hydration, rest, gentle movement, and time without excessive stimulation can support integration after a session. Intensity is not the measure of a meaningful session. An experience does not need to be dramatic to create new awareness or open the possibility for change.
Are Celestial Sol Sessions appropriate for everyone?
Celestial Sol Sessions can be adapted for people of different ages, medical histories, and support needs. They are not appropriate during an active medical or mental health emergency and cannot be provided to anyone whose awareness, judgment, or ability to consent is significantly impaired by alcohol or another substance.
Please contact Carissa before booking if you are pregnant or recently postpartum, recovering from a recent injury or surgery, currently experiencing a condition that affects breathing, consciousness, movement, balance, or safe participation, experiencing severe or unmanaged mental health symptoms, or have recently experienced psychiatric hospitalization or an acute psychological crisis. Sessions for minors require advance approval and consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Age, prescribed medication, including antidepressants, managed high blood pressure, or a stable medical history do not automatically prevent participation. Medical clearance may be requested when a current condition or recent medical event could affect safety.
Celestial Sol Sessions are a somatic and energetic support practice. They do not replace medical treatment, physical therapy, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or emergency services. Questions about suitability can be sent directly to carissa@celestialsol.com.
Is Celestial Sol a massage or chiropractic practice?
No. Celestial Sol is a nervous system and energetic restoration practice founded by Carissa Klundt. Celestial Sol Sessions are not massage, chiropractic care, physical therapy, or structural bodywork. An in-person session may include precise energetic touch, but the purpose is not to massage soft tissue, adjust the spine, or physically rehabilitate an injury. Touch is one element that may be used alongside sound, movement, breath, stillness, and field-based work. Celestial Sol by Carissa Klundt has been independently owned and operated since 2020, years before a similarly named massage business began operating in the Las Vegas area. The businesses are not affiliated with any similarly named massage business. Celestial Sol by Carissa Klundt offers its original modality in Henderson, serving the greater Las Vegas area, and virtually worldwide.
Where are Celestial Sol Sessions available?
Celestial Sol Sessions are available in person at Carissa Klundt’s private studio in Henderson, Nevada, serving clients throughout the greater Las Vegas area. Virtual sessions are available live over Zoom to clients worldwide. Carissa also travels for select private clinics, group experiences, speaking engagements, retreat facilitation, and private in-home sessions for high-profile or privacy-conscious clientele. To host a Celestial Sol clinic in your studio or city, invite Carissa to speak or facilitate at your retreat or event, or inquire about a private in-home session, please email carissa@celestialsol.com.
How should I prepare for a Celestial Sol Session?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move, breathe, and rest easily. No previous experience with somatic or energetic work is required. For an in-person session, arrive approximately five minutes before your scheduled appointment and wait in the waiting room. Carissa will come out to greet you when she is ready for your session. Carissa will make contact with your feet during the session, so please bring a pair of socks if you would be more comfortable keeping them covered. For a virtual session, join from a quiet, private space where you can sit or lie down comfortably without interruption. Before your appointment, verify that your Zoom account is working and test your internet connection, camera, and microphone. Position your device somewhere stable so Carissa can see you clearly while you are sitting, lying down, or moving. Headphones are optional. Come with curiosity rather than pressure to create a particular response. Carissa will guide the experience and adapt the session according to what is present.
Do I need to believe in energy work to receive a Celestial Sol Session?
No. Celestial Sol Sessions do not require a particular spiritual belief system or previous understanding of energetic work. Curiosity, skepticism, and questions are all welcome. People of all religions, spiritual traditions, and belief systems are welcome. The work itself is not tied to any religion, spiritual doctrine, or belief system. It is centered on the body’s energetic field, and clients are never asked to change or suspend their personal beliefs to participate. Some clients describe what they experience as energetic. Others notice physical sensations, changes in breathing, emotion, movement, or shifts in awareness. You do not need to label or explain what happens for the experience to be meaningful. Tell Carissa at any point if you are uncomfortable, want something adjusted, or need to pause.
How long is a Celestial Sol Session?
Both in-person and virtual Celestial Sol Sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes. The length and pacing of the active energetic work may vary according to the body’s responses. Carissa follows the body’s cues rather than using a fixed sequence or timed protocol. The balance between conversation, observation, touch or non-contact work, sound, movement, stillness, and integration may therefore differ from one session to another. A longer or more visibly intense energetic response does not necessarily mean a more meaningful session.
Will I remain conscious and in control during a Celestial Sol Session?
Yes. You remain conscious, aware, and able to communicate throughout the session. The body may respond spontaneously through movement, emotion, changes in breathing, physical sensations, sound, or deep stillness, but no particular response is required. Carissa does not force movement, emotional release, or intensity. You may ask to change the touch, sound, position, or pace at any time. You may also pause or end the session whenever you choose. Your consent is ongoing throughout every Celestial Sol Session.
Do Celestial Sol Sessions involve physical touch?
In-person Celestial Sol Sessions may include precise energetic touch, including contact with the feet. The touch is not massage, chiropractic adjustment, or physical therapy. It is one element Carissa may use while tracking the responses of the body, nervous system, and energetic field. You may share any touch preferences, sensitivities, or areas you would like Carissa to avoid before or during the session. Consent is ongoing, and you may ask for touch to be changed or stopped at any time. A non-contact approach may also be used when preferred or appropriate. Virtual Celestial Sol Sessions do not involve physical touch. They may include sound, guided awareness, breath, movement, stillness, and field-based work.
